The Program and Curriculum Approval System (PCAS) is the system by which degree program curriculums are proposed, reviewed, and approved for the program catalog.

PCAS is a secure system that requires x.500 authentication to enter, edit, or approve curricular changes. All U of M faculty and staff can view PCAS entries.

  • If you have been through training for PCAS and have problems logging in to the application to update or approve courses, contact the Help Desk at 612-301-4357 (1-HELP).
  • If you need to be authorized to enter or approve programs in PCAS, arrange for training from the Student Records Training team. Your supervisor's approval will be required.

Please note that because of the x.500 security requirements, there is a timeout on the use of PCAS. If you have the application open for more than 30 minutes with no activity, you will be asked to sign in again.
