Student Success Fund

Supporting student success at the University

Many students make the difficult decision to walk away from their University of Minnesota degree when faced with obstacles that seem to leave them no alternatives. Academic Support Resources has created the Twin Cities Student Success Fund to help undergraduate students overcome financial barriers preventing their opportunity for success.

Since 2016, ASR has worked with students -- nominated by advisors, One Stop Student Services, and other University staff -- to provide the support and financial assistance that gives them the opportunity to complete their degrees at the University of Minnesota.

What students are saying

“This is amazing news! It seems that every time I receive an email regarding my financial status, I am blown away by the generosity that the U has shown me. I can't thank everyone enough. This removes an enormous burden from my shoulders!”

“I would like to thank you for awarding me with money towards my summer tuition. Finding money and paying for tuition the last two years has been only a struggle and has affected my ability to take certain classes due to paying tuition late. Once again, thank you for this award as well as opportunity to help me graduate.”

“I feel so blessed to get this financial help! You have no idea how much it means to me. I was so scared that I was not going to be able to pay [for] this last class I need in order to graduate ...This is going to be so much help to my family and I. Thank you so much!”

“I have probably read this e-mail 75 times in disbelief. I cannot begin to express my gratitude and appreciation. The last couple years have not been the easiest for me financially and I had to work more and study less because of it…I am so grateful to have been blessed with this funding.”
